Weekly Catalogue: April 1st, 2025

Continuing with our plastics theme (check out the Plastics Season of Hotel Earth Podcast), we’ve got a list of easy single-use swaps this week.

1. Plastic baggies

Instead: try glass Tupperware or silicone stasher-bags.

2. Shampoo / conditioner bottles

Instead: try shampoo bars and conditioner bars. We love these ones from The Package Free shop, but you can find them everywhere now.

3. Paper towels

Instead: try dish cloths or old t-shirts.

4. Plastic shopping bags

Instead: try a canvas tote or another type of reusable bag. They make some so tiny now that they can fold into your pocket or purse, so there’s no excuse for not keeping it on you!

5. Plastic water bottle

Instead: try a stainless steel water bottle. They keep liquids cld / warm too!
